How does MealSecretary integrate with other systems?
Today, data comes in through CSV member imports and goes out through payroll and report exports, while counters use any barcode or QR scanner that types into a browser. A REST API with webhooks, HR and attendance connectors, single sign-on and clinical (FHIR) integrations are on the roadmap.

Member import (CSV)
Import employees, students or patients with names, Employee IDs, mobile numbers and departments. Blank rows and duplicates are detected before anything is saved.
Payroll export (CSV)
Locked payroll periods export meal deductions by Employee ID for any payroll system.
Barcode & QR scanners
Any USB or Bluetooth scanner that acts as a keyboard works at the serving counter—no drivers.
Printed meal cards
Print MealSecretary cards with Code 128 barcodes, or register existing employee and student card numbers.
Email delivery
Verification codes and notifications are sent through your site’s email service (SMTP).
SMS gateway
Connect your SMS provider so mobile verification codes reach users in every supported country.

Can MealSecretary integrate with payroll?
Yes. Approved and locked payroll periods export meal deductions by Employee ID as CSV for any payroll system. Payroll and HR systems can also use the MealSecretary API and signed webhooks (beta).
Do I need special hardware for serving?
No. A phone, tablet or computer with a browser is enough. For speed, add any barcode or QR scanner that works as a keyboard.
Is there an API?
Beta. The REST API and webhooks are included in Organization Business and Enterprise plans when released.
